It’s A Great Day!

Happy Presidents’ Day!  If you’re working and don’t get to celebrate Presidents’ Day, celebrate Love Your Pet Day and World Day For Social Justice instead.  They all fall on January 20^th this year.

Everyone knows that many pet owners consider their pets to be part of the family and we carry a complete line of gift baskets for dogs and cats but were very surprised when we were asked to create a welcome baby basket for a horse. That request was one of our most unusual requests to date.

A straw “cowboy” hat made a great “basket”. We found bags of cookies and other edible horse treats for mama, a new brush and care products for the colt and tied it all up with a huge blue ribbon.

Just last week we were asked to design a gift basket to be sent to a tax preparer’s office. The staff has been working long hours and the manager wanted to show her appreciation. Now if you can celebrate taxes, you can celebrate anything!

One of our clients sends a welcome gift basket to all new employees. Several other clients send welcome new baby gift baskets when an employee has a baby or a sympathy gift basket when they lose a loved one. These small gestures are part of the corporate culture of letting employees know they are valued.

We all need more joy in our lives, more reasons to celebrate. We all need to share more with those we care about. Find a reason to celebrate every day. Find a way to share your celebration with those you care about. Bring a box of fancy cookies to your next staff meeting. Throw a surprise lunch for the office by ordering in a pizza.

Tomorrow is Pancake Day, Mardi Gras and Paczki Day.  Now there are some holidays worth celebrating!!!!
