Every Day Is A Holiday
Are you glad the “holiday season” is over? Lots of folks are. Personally, I love holidays, all of them. At Laurel Mountain every day is a holiday. There are all kinds of holidays. One of my favorite websites, www.brownielocks.com, lists all sorts of holidays. Some traditional and some interesting and some well, just plain silly. For example, today is January 7, 2012 and today we celebrate “I’m Not Going To Take It Anymore Day” as well as “International Programmers’ Day”. In January alone Brownielocks lists over 100 holidays you can choose to celebrate.
At Laurel Mountain we help our clients celebrate all kinds of holidays and other special events. Yesterday I designed a gift basket to celebrate a woman’s 91st birthday. I just finished one for an office that prepares taxes. The staff is gearing up for a long haul and the manager wanted a little something to thank them ahead of time. If you can celebrate taxes, you can celebrate just about anything!
I was once asked what the most interesting gift basket I ever designed was. Early in my career I was asked to design a welcome baby basket for a horse. We make lots of welcome baby baskets for humans and we even have several in our pet section for new pets, but the horse one was definitely different.
