every now and then i even let marie post an article or two. you see, marie is the owner of laurel mountain gift basket company and the human that takes great care of me. so i have to "throw her a bone" every now and then. BOL! (that's bark out loud for those of you that aren't doggie people)

Next Stop, Hollywood

As some of you know, I recently had the opportunity to appear on a popular local television show and talk about my gift basket business. The lifestyle show’s theme for the day entitled The Feline Frenzy! and was dedicated to cats. Since one of our specialties is Pet Gift Baskets, I was asked to participate along with representative from two rescue shelters, a vet, a pet sitter and a lot of cats.

Thank You

Dankechon, Gracias, Merci Bien, Spasiba.  Thank You. Little words that mean so much.

We are all so busy that we some times forget the importance of saying thank you. That goes for our business relationships as well as our personal ones.  Saying thank you seems like a small thing but it has a big impact on your relationships with others. Saying thank you shows that you value and appreciate someone and validation is important to all of us.

You could make their day by sayings thank you  to the customer service rep or clerk who went "the extra mile" to help you solve a problem or complete a task.  To that special employee who is prompt, effecient and  consistently exceeds your expectations.  To the person who recently opened a door for you by giving you a referral or helped arrange an interview.

World’s Best (TV) Dad

Staring at a blank screen, thinking about writing a blog about Father‘s Day, TV on for background noise when The King of Queens came on.

I love Jerry Stiller as the dad, a role he also played brilliantly as Frank Costanza in Seinfeld.  That got me started thinking about all of the great TV "dads" we watched over the years.  They came in all shapes and sizes and the ones I remember best can still make me LOL.

Final Exam Survival Kits

College Commencement Ceremonies were happening all over the Valley this weekend. Twitter was filled with Tweets from current and former grads of Mount Holyoke College.  My friend Eric attended his daughter‘s Commencement at Western New England College and my neice Kate graduated from the University of New Hampshire on Sunday.

Time sure does fly. Has it been over 20 years since Kate and I first met at Middletown Hospital? Here she is, all grown up and ready to take on the world.  (World - seriously look out!)

Celebrating in May

hi everyone,

it‘s me, zeva.

marie is getting ready to go to the bni national conference in rhode island later this week so i am filling in writing our blog.  now that i‘m a year old i have even more responsibilities at the stuido.  last week i got to test some new dog toys we will be using in our dog gift baskets and since eastworks is a pet friendly building, it‘s my job to play with the dogs that come in with their people.
